08/02/10 OMNIA (CS) Ltd AFFILIATES WITH WORLD SOCIETY OF SUSTAINABLE ENERGY TECHNOLOGIES
Omnia has become an Industrial Member of The World Society of Sustainable Energy Technologies (WSSET), a non-profit organisation run by businesses, academics, students and individuals who together advocate environmental preservation.
At first glance a coalition between a bodywork component supplier in the transport sector and an association devoted to sustainable energy may seem a little fractious. Omnia CS however, have devoted engineering ingenuity to innovate products that are designed to reduce carbon footprints across the transport market. As a company we aim to identify markets that will benefit from the development and supply of innovative, sustainable materials. Our focus is on fibre reinforced thermoplastic panel technology and our unique and recyclable sandwich panels offer excellent strength to weight characteristics as well as durability, innovation and sustainability.
Our capability encompasses the entire supply chain from research through development. In most cases these product solutions improve on or overcome heavier duty solutions where existing materials such as steel, aluminium, fibreglass and plywood are used. Our latest development in bodybuilding technology is developed to reduce components, reduce labour, reduce set-up cost and reduce weight to an absolute minimum.
Omnia CS salutes the important role WSSET has played in promoting sustainable energy and developing partnerships between academics and industry worldwide.

For example, as well as enabling safer operation, Cartwright's prototype trailer for the Royal Mail (MT7 May) can carry 92 of the company's York cages - 20 more than on the current stepframe trailers. Royal Mail assumes each of its York cages is at maximum weight, so the trailers always bulk out rather than cube out. The safety trailer uses polycarbonate* Omnia panels, giving a two-tonne weight saving over the old design. This is critical to utilise the extra cubic capacity available with the switch to a straight-frame trailer, and the increase in height to 4.9m.

15/06/09 Sandpit covers made of Omnia panel
When a Primary School from Northamptonshire wanted a solution to an ongoing issue of inadequate, heavy and rotting timber sandpit covers, they turned to Omnia to design and supply a lightweight, weatherproof and most importantly, rot proof, system. The panels are also self supporting offering a reduced health and safelty risk. The teachers and children are very happy with the lightweight colourful covers and are looking forward to many years of low maintenance protection.

02/04/09 SABA Adhesives bond with Omnia CS
SABA adhesives will be represented by Omnia CS as their agent for the adhesive in the transport market.
Key products are the silan modified polymer (MS-polymer) adhesives of the Sealtack 700 series.
The moisture curing adhesives can be used to replace conventional PU adhesives in general applications, but also the products can be used with a special plastic primer to bond the polypropylene surface of the untreated Omnia panels.
Products:
Sealtack 700 sealant
Sealtack
750 adhesive
Sealtack 780 high viscosity adhesive
Sealtack 790 high strength adhesive
Sealtack
Fast 2-C two pack adhesive
Cleaner 48
Plastic Primer 4518
Activator 9400 and 9002
Many materials can be bonded without the use of primers or activators.
For some materials an activator can be used to improve strength level especially in wet environments.
With the ability to overpaint when wet, throughput is increased and repairs made easier.
The adhesive are price competitively and have great advantages over PU, e.g. non-toxic.
If you are offered an alternative then it is most likely they are either being illegally sold or are not manfucatured in the same way as the Omnia panel and therefore do not offer the same characteristics.
